Not that I think Rainbow Dash would lose to a cat! It's all about the element of surprise. For all we know, she actually wins.

Based (sort of) off the tale of the duel between Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro; wherein Miyamoto overslept and forgot his sword, and used a sharpened boat oar instead. Or maybe he did it on purpose, because Miyamoto was kind of notorious for trolling his opponents in order to get them angry and keep them from fighting at their best.

(I feel I ought to point out that I am perfectly aware that 1) Sasaki died during the duel and did not live to be menaced with a cat; and 2) although the duel itself did actually take place, there is some debate as to whether or not it -- and Miyamoto's exploits in general -- were heavily romanticized. This is just a silly comic about magic ponies, don't take it too seriously.)

Actualy from what i know Musashi never used real blade in combat or even in war, only bokken (Wooden Katana for those who don't know) and when he fought against Sasaki, he had nothing with him so he took a oar but i never heard about it being sharpened...
