I love guard ponies! I do not, however, love their armor quite so much anymore. Ouch.

Please do not use this image without permission from the commissioner. They paid for it, they get to call what it's used for.

I can agree on the issue about their armor: Not very practical.
And with that in mind, I think you'll like the Armor of this particular Royal Guard A LOT.

They didn't. He ended up slightly lighter because of the way I shaded him, is all.

During the opening, when Twilight's letter is flying into Celestia's throne room, the gray unicorn guards are standing at the base of her throne.
