(With an original FS Celestia for comparison! The crown is from the Talking Celestia, I'm not that crafty.)
Poor Celestia. I was determined to make myself a show-accurate Fashion Style version -- and I...kind of failed. For instance, that scarf? She's going to have to wear that until I fix her neck. Whoops.
That said, she came out okay aside from a couple of paint accidents (protip: don't use screenprint masking to make stencils, it will leak EVERYWHERE). At some point I probably should've just stopped and said to myself "self, this is stupid, just wipe her off and start over" but nooo, I'm too much of an idiot for that.
At least her hair came out nicely! And I guess for a first custom she's not too bad (aside from the neck issue). I might try again with another one at some point -- next time I'll try to do a better job of salvaging her eyes, so I don't ruin her with my shaky hands. This is what I get for jumping right back into figure-painting after years of no practice.
All of my thanks to for her advice on rooting and hair colors!
if that was your first good job! i love how she looks! i wuld maybe make that necklace thing she wears that they always leave out, that should cover the neck problem. i haven't tried a fashion style size yet but i think i will soon
Thank you! I've never done a complete custom before; it was kind of addictive.
Just to warn you, the Fashion Style heads come off pretty easily but they do NOT like to go back on...I should have tested it before I actually painted her. :[
haha well at least they come off easily right? i haven't taken on a fashion style but the small g4's are very fun to do and they don't use as much paint lol
