east of the sun, west of the moon by egophiliac east of the sun, west of the moon by egophiliac

If Celestia controlled the moon, and Luna controlled the sun. I tried to make it more interesting than just a straight palette- and cutie mark-swap, dunno how well I succeeded with that. Oh well!

A while ago I realized my headcanon personalities for Celestia and Luna are, like, almost exactly the opposite of what everyone else seems to think. :iconlunashrugplz: So somehow that led to this, idk. I think Moonlestia would be called Aurora, but I can't think of a name for Sunluna! Somebody more creative can come up with one.

I like how the shape of the sunrays on Solara's cutie mark echo the nebulous shapes around her moon cutie mark in canon.

I would probably be more likely to go with Diana for Moonlestia, and Solara for Sunluna.

Well there is Selena, (another word for the moon) and Aurora is good, that is the original name for the Roman sun goddess)

Interesting concept. Personally, I think the name Aurora would suit a sun type better since I think it has something to do with the dawn. Maybe "Corona" would suit sun!Luna?

In German, the smaller, reddish part of a Corona can also be called Aureole. I think that sounds nice as a name, and with Aurora and Aureole, they'd both start with "Au" <- Sucker for alliterations :D
