Aaand the bat pony twins! Yes, they're Sunshine and Meadowlark (secretly everyone in Moonstuck has a name; they don't get used in text because of the writing style, and also the nicknames and name suggestions are hilarious and I love them).
Meadowlark will be for sale at the June/July BroNYcon. Sunshine may visit the con, but he will
not be for sale, because he has multiple issues that I feel make him unsellable -- so he gets to stay home with me. c:
They're made from Scootaloo heads and Sweetie Bell bodies, the leftovers from my two Woona customs. Their noses, ears, and wings were made from Super Sculpey; I airbrushed them grey and painted their eyes in acrylic (Sunshine was finished before he got the eyepatch, or I would've just sculpted it on, it would've looked a lot better

). Their heads are glued on and cannot move.
Their wings were painted separately and glued on, and they've been rehaired in Black Magic from Dollyhair. Sunshine's patch is felt and blue thread.
This was my first try doing add-ons like a colt nose and the bat ears (to say nothing of the wings). ...I, uh, still have a lot to learn -- my sculpting is not at all smooth. Still they turned out a lot better than I thought they would, there were a few times when I was tempted to scrap them completely. I'm also new to short hairstyles, as you can see.
Sunshine is just as unlucky as his canon counterpart, by the way. He's been dropped, developed a wart from a bubble of sealant on his chin, refused to have his eyes be painted properly, had some of his hair fall out (which you can actually see in his close-up), and his front wing snapped off completely at one point and took a chunk of his paint job with it. I was so frustrated that I was ready to have him lose the wing in canon, but he's adorable so I forgive him.
This time.
Otherwise, MUST BUYYY.
but i can't get it through my laptop screen
also nice customs C:
Poor Sunshine.
All 3 customs look amazing.
Next you should do a Nightmare Woon!
I have a problem with smooth sculpting too, but I find it helps if you sand it after baking/curing (sculpey and apoxies can both be sanded). It helps "blend" it into the toy more and smooths out flaws.
Sunshine Smiles the amazing tap dancing bat pony ( HE. DOES NOT. WHISTLE.)
The wing on Frolics left wing looks out of place/awkward. Great Woona and Bat-twins ponies. Nice job
