this is such a lovely piece, the emotion is brought across brilliantly and it's so clear and beautiful and eee ♥
Well, yo already know this, but I do love ShoPhil. ;a; Their interaction is my main draw for watching W, what with Philip starting out not understanding the basic concepts. Then learning after Shotaro punches him. Or someone else.
C'mon, Ryu's story is over now, go back to ShoPhil, plzthx...
Ryuu is rockin' but I miss the main trio. As much as I love W, the writers...really don't seem to know how to handle multiple subplots and characters. It's like they have this formula where they figure out the focus character of the arc, pick one or two supporting characters, a specific villain, and then everyone else gets shoved into the background at best and relegated to Sir Not Appearing In This Show at worst -- which CAN work for some shows, but W has a fairly large cast for a two-Rider series, and instead of keeping it to minor characters like the Irregulars they insist on shafting the main characters and their subplots. e.g., if it's not a Phil- or Akiko-central episode, they're usually just in the background somewhere until their scene-quota is filled, and they don't even try anymore to give them something random to be doing. Healing Princess flat-out disappeared over ten episodes ago; once it stopped being a useful plot device, they dropped it entirely. Shoutarou...might as well be a cardboard cutout for all he's been doing lately. (W, I thought you were doing better when we got Xtreme Form, but then you went right back to ignoring the CO-STAR. I love you so much, why do you hate my favorite character?)
tl;dr -- W has some issues with its narrative!
